Sureserve Foundation Challenge 2026: An Incredible Team Achievement
This challenge will leave a lasting impact on everyone involved and, most importantly, deliver a meaningful and sustainable benefit to Morgan House, the ultimate beneficiary of our fundraising efforts. On behalf of the entire team, thank you to everyone who supported us, both financially and morally. Your encouragement helped us every step of the way. And trust me there was a lot of steps!
Its been 11 months in the planning and preparation, whilst an intense 25 hours and 42 minutes in the execution. 17 team members set out from Glencoe at 6:00am on Saturday 12 September to take on the Three Peaks Challenge in support of our chosen cause.
The team faced some of the toughest conditions imaginable for autumn on Ben Nevis, with one of our Mountain Leaders describing them as "the worst conditions for September that I've seen in 30 years." Despite the relentless weather, the team never wavered, successfully reaching the summit.
From there, the challenge continued south to England. With some team members unfortunately forced to withdraw due to injury, the remaining team climbed Scafell Pike, reaching the summit in darkness after an evening ascent. While the weather was kinder, the challenge continued to take its toll on the team.
Arriving in Wales, the final 10 team members completed the challenge ascending Snowdon, bringing an extraordinary journey to a successful conclusion.
While the mountains provided the challenge, this achievement was fundamentally about the people. Every one of the 17 team members and all the support Team each played a vital role in making the challenge an amazing success.
